ComputerPointerThe General Services Administration will introduce a navigation tool designed to help federal, state and local government users examine products and services under information technology contracts, FCW reported Tuesday.

Mark Rockwell writes the IT Solutions Navigator Tool will provide agencies search results for cloud computing, communications, networking, data center, hardware, security and software based on the user’s government level, as well as IT and acquisition needs.

Kevin Richman, communications specialist at GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service, told the FOSE conference in Washington Tuesday the agency will unveil the tool this summer, Rockwell reports.

The tool intends to help help federal data center and technology users navigate through government acquisition contracts, Schedule 70 and network services vehicles, according to Richman.

Richman told the audience at the FOSE conference in Washington Tuesday the tool is still in beta since fall and is close to completion, FCW reports.

Rockwell reports the tool will also cover other large contracts and options.
