OPM Postpones SES Candidate Final Reviews

1 min read

SurveyThe Office of Personnel Management has put a hold on new final reviews of candidates for the Senior Executive Service, GovExec reports.

Kellie Lunney writes OPM will continue to process final case reviews if they were submitted before an announcement, departure or nomination.

OPM said the hold goes into effect when an agency leader either leaves or announces their departure and when President Barack Obama nominates a successor, Lunney writes.

Agencies can still process SES applications and selections until certification from OPM’s Qualifications Review Board, the final point of review for SES candidates, according to GovExec.

OPM also said it is suspending 90-day time limit for submitting new agency candidates to the board, Lunney reports.
