Linda Cureton, chief information officer at NASA, has told Federal Computer Week she plans to retire from government.

Cureton told FCW she planned to either retire or change jobs after the election and wants to write a follow-up book to The Leadership Muse.

Before joining NASA, the 34-year federal service veteran served as CIO of the space agency’s Goddard Space Flight Center.

She also previously worked worked at the departments of Energy and Justice, the Office of Science and Technology Policy and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

According to FCW, she previously hinted at her departure in October.
