Napolitano to Discuss Global Aviation Security in Nigeria

napolitano004Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano will travel to Abuja, Nigeria, to meet with her African counterparts and officials from the International Civil Aviation Organization to discuss ways to enhance global aviation security, Homeland Security Press Secretary Clark Stevens announced yesterday.

At the invitation of the Nigerian government, Napolitano will travel to the African nation on April 11. This will be the fourth in a series of major international meetings hosted by ICAO member states in which Napolitano will participate to build consensus on strengthening global aviation security and determining specific steps which nations can take individually and collectively to protect all passengers from threats of terrorism, Stevens said.
